ok, ok

This one's for Doug!

I'm making time to tell you about my boring life! I can't even remember where we last left off. I really honestly haven't done much in the meantime.

I'm continuing with physical therapy on my shoulder. We've seen some progress. I'm definitely stronger, and the nagging pain is much better. But the acute pain when I move it or hold it the wrong way is still not fun. I just had my six week eval and that's pretty much what he said. Well, I said the pain isn't fun and stuff. He said we're seeing progress and that I'm stronger. And that I have increased range of motion and my posture is better. So I have six more visits to get all better. While I try to stay optimistic, I really don't think two more weeks is going to do the trick. I think it might be like this for a while. But I'm doing much better with not lifting or carrying things or reaching over my head for stuff. That's helping. So maybe if I do more of that it really will get better.

Did I tell you the story about my cat poisoning himself? I won't retell it, so I'll look back and if I haven't told it I'll get back to you sometime with it. It's a good story.

I went home this past weekend. It was a really good time. It took me forever to escape the office, but I did it! And when I got home, Gracie was there to greet me and Tyler. She was really excited to see her puppin. Then she was happy to see me. Right away I was chasing her around and she was telling me all about it. She's quite a talker. On occasion you can actually tell what she is saying.

My sister had to work all weekend, of course, so on Friday I went up so she could make me all pretty in makeup. She's good at that. I haven't been pretty for a while, so it was nice. And it was good to see her, too :). Since she was working my Mom was watching Gracie so I got another baby dose. And then I got her again all day Saturday! But she took a three hour nap for me (and I snuck in a nap in there too!) so we didn't go outside and play. But we'll have to do it next time I'm home. Well, unless it's snowing or something, I don't want to give her pneumonia or anything.

Saturday night we had a giant cookout for my cousin Andy who is joining the Navy. It was his "Bon Voyage" party. I got to meet my cousin Matt's babies Addison and Avery for the first time. They had twin girls back in March. They are cuties. They are really big, too! They make Gracie look like a shrimp. But I don't think Lindsey will let me get near them ever again, because I kind of accidentally kicked Avery. In the head. See, I was trying to get a picture of the twins together, but I couldn't get in front of them without stepping over them. So I put one foot over, and then when I was going to move my other foot, Avery fell over and it my shoe. Oh my word, I felt terrible! She didn't even cry, but her mommy was right there to comfort her and rub her head. And then she took my camera and took the picture for me.

OK, I've been writing for a while, and I really do have a lot to do. I'll blog sometime about this new old job of mine. If I ever have time to, that is. :)
