IKEA!

So while most everyone else at this conference spent their free time tonight going to D.C., I grabbed a cab and went to IKEA! I know, very un-touristy of me. But I've been to D.C., and I've never been to IKEA, and there isn't one anywhere near me. The closest one is in Minneapolis, which is 8 hours or so away. I think. Maybe it's closer. I'll google it.

But it's the most fabulous place ever, except Nebraska Furniture Mart! NFM wins because they have CD's and DVD's. However, IKEA has flatware and cool kitchen tools. And really cheap picture frames and stuffed animals. Too bad I didn't bring my camera on this trip, I totally would have taken a picture. This is another reason why I need an iphone.

I need to get a disposable camera, though, because there are some kick ass statues that I have to take pictures with. I could live without the turtles, but I MUST have the Jim Henson memorial statue. It's Jim Henson talking with Kermit. In bronze on a bench. And since it's cold out, someone has put scarves on them. The camera on my phone just won't do. I have no idea why I didn't bring my camera. I take my camera to Walmart, for crying out loud.

The conference was good today, although, the one session I was really looking forward to actually kind of wasn't all that great. It is something I can take back and do with Prostaff, but it did nothing for me. That was sad. But I can't complain overall!

You crack me up. There is an Ikea that just opened about an hour away from me. It opened in May, I've yet to venture down there. Oy!
