CD Reviews

There are times when I go completely insane and buy a bunch of CD's at a time. I did this on Tuesday. Here are my reviews:

New Kids on the Block: The Block
Really not very good. There are a couple of songs that are pretty good, nice harmonizing and lyrics. Mostly though they are white hip-hop (is that a genre? It is now, I guess...), trying to be Justin Timberlake. But because they are old (I think they range from 35-45), it is more creepy and strange than cool. One song is called "Sexify my Love". Seriously. I give this CD a C+, only because I still love my Joey Joe.

Colbie Callait: Coco
This is a nice smooth CD, easy on the ears. Not a whole lot of complex stuff going on, but it's really nice. I actually haven't listened to it in a while, I listened to it online a few months ago and loved it, but am just now getting to buying it. So I can't go much further than that. But I give it an A.

Puddle of Mudd: Famous
A good rock CD, nice tunes, good guitar and drums, dirty vocals at times, but they still have the requisite ballad on there. I enjoy their voices. I give this an A.

Jonas Brothers: A Little Bit Longer
Shut up, yes, I like the Jonas Brothers. I've liked them since before they were famous, so shut up. I have a song on my ipod from their first album, which you never hear about, because they weren't famous then, when I bought the song. And Entertainment Weekly have this CD a good review, so shut up. Anyway, this is a good CD. A lot of bubblegum, but it's hard edge bubblegum. The lyrics aren't too sugary. I enjoy this CD. I give it an A. Shut up.

O.A.R.: All Sides
Good pop album. Nothing special, but it's good. I like it a lot. That's about all I can tell you about it. It's pretty basic. They sound like a boy band, which I like. I love boy bands. I give it an A-.

Next on the purchase list: Katy Perry, Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown, Coldplay, and Duffy.
