Tires

OK, I have never had an issue driving in snow. My tires have always worked just fine. But a couple weeks ago when we had snow, I got stuck on the hill up to my parking lot. Today I almost hit someone. I was not driving too fast, I put my brakes on at a reasonable time, and kept right on going through the stop sign into on coming traffic. Thank God the guy coming at me saw me, he swerved literally at the last second. I was totally prepared to hit him. There was no way I was going to miss him, but then he moved over ever so slightly, enough so that he escaped being scraped up by my car. That is the closest I've ever come to hitting a moving vehicle. I have been in accidents as a passenger, but not as a driver. And man, was I shook up. And I have decided to call Midas in the morning to get my tires looked at.

Jason helped me get this program to make ringtones for me. I'm excited, I love ringtones. I'm getting used to this mac. I'm having a great time importing cd's for my ipod. Jason tried showing me other tricks for it, but it just scared me. I need to take it slow, I'm old and can't handle too much cool technology. I'm still working away on my website. It won't be long hopefully before this blog will be housed on my own personal website with stuff on it.

It is time for the yearly job search. I realized today that I've been looking for a new job almost every year since I got my Bachelor's Degree. That's really sad. I wasn't looking during the spring of '03 because I was enjoying Iowa State. Then they kind of closed my building, so I started searching in the Fall of '03. Then I did a tiny search Spring '04, a major search Spring '05, I started searching in Spring '06 but got a job across the street so that didn't last long. I didn't search Spring '07, but I started searching again in the Summer '07. I'm tired of interviews, I'm tired of cover letters, I'm tired of tweaking my resume. Someone please give me a job I will feel like staying at for more than two years! I would just stay with this job, but you understand my issues here. If I don't find anything I'll be fine staying. But that just means I have to search again. Sigh.
